Angkor’s unique ultra-trail: an excellent 2020 vintage!
On 22nd and 23rd January 2020, one of the most original trails in the world took place: The Ultra-trail of Angkor – Siem Reap in Cambodia! More than 1,200 participants, thirsty for kilometers, from 8 to 100, set off in the middle of the unique UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Angkor Temples Complex.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 edition was canceled. However, we look forward to seeing you in January 2022.
A trail among the biggest
After only 5 years of existence, Angkor’s Ultra Trail is now one of the most beautiful races in Asia.
The runners will set foot on a sacred site, going through ancient temples in Siem Reap, crossing the jungles, paddy fields and grasslands that surround the jewel of Angkor. Experience an extraordinary discovery on the 100 km – NEW DISTANCE replacing 128 km (Angkor Ultra Trail), 64 km (Bayon Trail), 42 km (Angkor Marathon Trail), 32 km (Angkor Jungle Trail) or 16 km (Angkor Temple Run), the 16 km Nordic Walking and the 8 km Elephant Trail (NEW).
The companions can participate in the Humanitarian Walk of about 5 km together with a hundred Cambodian children.
Angkor, located in the northern Cambodian province of Siem Reap, is one of the main archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. The Temples of Angkor – the soul of the Khmer Kingdom, serve as a national pride and source of inspiration to the Cambodians. Its beauty has always fascinated travelers from around the world.
