Asia’s finest integrated destination, Laguna Phuket, has announced the schedule for the 30th Laguna Phuket Triathlon. 

The triathlon will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for the upcoming Super Early Bird Rates announcement!!

Held across the famous Laguna Phuket destination race course, athletes enjoy the unique swim taking in both the Andaman Sea and fresh water lagoon. The challenging bike course includes scenic rides through the Phuket countryside and local villages, with the climax coming over the imposing Naithon hills. The run course takes in the entire Laguna Phuket destination, with the climax finish back at Laguna Grove.

To facilitate the travel for athletes and their followers, the 8 hotels in the Laguna Phuket group have joined forces to offer competitive rates. From each Laguna Phuket hotel, guests can walk or enjoy free shuttle buses and boats to the Laguna Grove race venue. 

Southeast Asia’s longest running and most successful triathlon event, the Laguna Phuket Triathlon was listed as Top 8 of The World’s Greatest Tri Swims by 220 Triathlon Magazine (UK) in 2020. LPT has also been ranked 5th on the 10 Best Triathlons in the World list, by Let’s Do This (UK). Laguna Phuket destination has been named an Honourable Contributor in Sports and Exercise, by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports’ Department of Physical Education (DPE) in 2019.

  • ELITE racers are competing against the PROS and for the Price Money.
  • Register (or complete) in Elite Category cannot win Age group prize.
  • Swim Times for ELITE male racers should be below 29 minutes for the 1800-meter swim.
  • Swim Times for ELITE female racers should be below 32 minutes for the 1800-meter swim.

Teams will comprise of three athletes – a swimmer, cyclist and runner, all above the age of 18. Participants must be healthy, fit and trained for the disciplines and distances required. Team members can be either the same gender or any combination of male/female.

To all athletes that need their bikes shipped from Bangkok directly to the LPT race venue…we have you covered!

Bike transportation service: we handle the logistic for you, simply drop off your bike in Bangkok and pick it up in Phuket before the race. After the race, drop off your bike in Phuket, and we’ll either deliver it to your home or arrange for pick-up in Bangkok. Register now and you don’t have to think about bike transportation at all, just focus on your training!

What is This Triathlon Camp?

Take a break from the kid routine to enter into the world of sport, happiness, history and connect with mother nature for a while. The Triathlon Camp is a 6 nights, 5 days program, designed to combine vacation and sport activities. It will introduce kids aged 9 to 14 to the sport of aquathlon, duathlon and triathlon in a unique world setup with experienced professionals who will provide targeted training guidance on the sport rules, strength & conditioning, swimming, cycling, running skills, bicycle safety, transition, recovery and nutrition. Every session will happen in a different setup so that kids enjoy and embrace the beauty of Angkor archeological park. What is This Tour?

Take a break from your daily working and training routine to enter into the world of multisport, history and connect with mother nature for a while. This sport tour is a 4 nights 3 days program, designed to combine vacation and sport activities. The “Trilogy” is made of Phnom Bok and two other sister temples, named Phnom Bakheng and Phnom Krom. The creation of these hill temples is credited to the reign of king Yasovarman I between 9th and 10th centuries, established after he moved his capital to Angkor and named it Yasodharapura. To complete the challenge, people will have to swim, cycle and walk/run across 50 Angkorian temples and climb to the top of the three hills to embrace the local energy. Everyday, after a morning refreshing swim, you will go through jungle tracks experiencing magnificent lakes, authentic villages, rice fields, lotus farms, and meet local people while exercising.

  • Cancellations between registration and 45 days before tour are refundable.
  • Cancellations between 44 days and 15 days before tour are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of tour price.
  • We reserve the right to cancel the tour if we do not reach a minimum of 6 participants. In this event, customers will be issued a credit for any money paid.
  • The tour will be conducted based on the schedule posted prior to the tour. However, we reserve the right to slightly modify the tour schedule at our sole discretion.

Laguna Phuket Triathlon (Team Relay)

Is your team up to the Race of Legends?

The legendary Laguna Phuket Triathlon invites athletes to enter teams to race in the triathlon relay comprising of a 1.8km swim, 55km cycle and 12km run.

Teams will comprise of three athletes – a swimmer, cyclist and runner, all above the age of 18. Participants must be healthy, fit and trained for the disciplines and distances required. Team members can be either the same gender or any combination of male/female.

  • Male Relay (18 years old & over)
  • Female Relay (18 years old & over)
  • Mixed Relay (18 years old & over)

Sprint Triathlon

The Sprint Triathlon (0.5Km swim, 20Km bike, and 6Km run) will be staged once again on the same day as the LPT in 2023.

  • Male Sprint (16 years old & over)
  • Female Sprint (16 years old & over)

Duathlon

Laguna Phuket Triathlon 2023 will feature the inaugural Laguna Phuket Duathlon (LPD). Crafted in a 4Km run – 55Km bike – 12Km run combination, the Duathlon will take place on the same day as LPT, giving its athletes a chance to experience the race’s signature bike course.

  • Female Duathlon (18 years old & over)

Sprint Triathlon

The Sprint Triathlon (0.5Km swim, 20Km bike, and 6Km run) will be staged once again on the same day as the LPT in 2023.
